IMPEACHMENT: I'M NOT BOTHERED BY PLOT TO REMOVE ME- NYAKO

Nineteen out of 25 members of the Adamawa state House of Assemly yesterday endorsed a move to impeach Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy Barr Bala James Nigilari.
This is the first time in this political dispensation that a state assembly, will serve an impeachment notice on a governor and his deputy in line with section 188 of the 1999 constitution(amended).
The latest move followed weeks of intense altercation between the executive and legislative arms of government which led to the invitation and even arrest of some commissioners who failed to honour the House's invitation to answer charges of financial recklessness levelled against them.facebook.com/primetimenewsng

Veteran actor Kanayo O Kanayo has ‘threatened’ to deal with a young man who referred to him as a ‘Nanyi ritual’ (ritual man)  Well-known for his role as a ritualist in movies, the veteran was teased by a hypeman recently at an event, leaving the guest spiralling with laughter. EKITI ELECTION: PROSECUTE VOTE-BUYERS WITHIN 7 DAYS OR FACE LEGAL ACTION,SERAP TELLS ELECTORAL COMMISSION,INEC.

SERAP also urged INEC to “promptly and effectively prosecute those arrested, and bring to justice anyone who sponsored, aided and abetted them.” The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has given Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seven days to “gather information about reports of vote-buying, undue influence, intimidation, ballot box snatching, and other electoral offences by the three leading political parties in the just concluded Ekiti State governorship election.”   SERAP also urged INEC to “promptly and effectively prosecute those arrested, and bring to justice anyone who sponsored, aided and abetted them.”   In a letter dated June 18, 2022, and signed by SERAP deputy director Kolawole Oluwadare, the organisation said: “Corruption of the ballot box intrudes on the freedom of Nigerian voters to make up their own minds.
