Veteran actor Kanayo O Kanayo has ‘threatened’ to deal with a young man who referred to him as a ‘Nanyi ritual’ (ritual man)  Well-known for his role as a ritualist in movies, the veteran was teased by a hypeman recently at an event, leaving the guest spiralling with laughter. In a video shared by KOK, the young man could be seen praising the actor with some friends enthusiastically. At some point, he focused on Kanayo, admonishing people to avoid the likes of the actor who he teasingly labelled a ritualist. As with all present, KOK laughed but promised the young lad will have some answering to do at 1 am midnight. “He don talk finish, don’t worry, he go meet us for 1am,” the movie star said.  While sharing the video, in the caption, Kanayo commended the hypeman’s talent as well as acknowledge the innumerable talents in this clime. “Talents everywhere. EKITI ELECTION: PROSECUTE VOTE-BUYERS WITHIN 7 DAYS OR FACE LEGAL ACTION,SERAP TELLS ELECTORAL COMMISSION,INEC.

SERAP also urged INEC to “promptly and effectively prosecute those arrested, and bring to justice anyone who sponsored, aided and abetted them.” The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has given Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seven days to “gather information about reports of vote-buying, undue influence, intimidation, ballot box snatching, and other electoral offences by the three leading political parties in the just concluded Ekiti State governorship election.”   SERAP also urged INEC to “promptly and effectively prosecute those arrested, and bring to justice anyone who sponsored, aided and abetted them.”   In a letter dated June 18, 2022, and signed by SERAP deputy director Kolawole Oluwadare, the organisation said: “Corruption of the ballot box intrudes on the freedom of Nigerian voters to make up their own minds.
