A former Head of State and the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 general elections,Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd), has told the Independent National Electoral Commission that his academic qualifications and credentials are with the military. A visit by journalists to the headquarters of the commission on Monday in Abuja revealed that Buhari's academic qualifications were not on display,unlike those of other presidential candidates,including President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party. There are strong indications that the seven-man panel set up to investigate allegations of gross misconduct against the Adamawa State Governor,Murtala Nyako and his deputy,Mr. Bala Ngilari,has indicted the Governor but absolved the deputy. It was learnt in Abuja on Sunday,that the panel set up by the immediate past Acting Chief Judge of Adamawa State,Justice Ambrose Mammadi,to investigate allegations levelled against the duo arrived at the decision after reviewing exhibits tendered by members of the state House of Assembly who are the complainants.  The Governor and his deputy neither attended the three hearings nor did they send a represntative. Nineteen out of 25 members of the Adamawa state House of Assemly yesterday endorsed a move to impeach Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy Barr Bala James Nigilari. This is the first time in this political dispensation that a state assembly, will serve an impeachment notice on a governor and his deputy in line with section 188 of the 1999 constitution(amended).
